Where the Only Limitation is Your Imagination.

Welcome to RorkeStar Leather Customs’ Customs & Bespoke Workshop—where your ideas become handcrafted leather creations.

Whether you’ve found a photograph of something you love, have a rough sketch on a piece of paper, or simply have an idea that’s been living in your imagination, we’d love to bring it to life.

No matter how simple or ambitious your concept may be, we’ll work with you to create a truly one-of-a-kind leather piece that is designed specifically for you. If you can imagine it, together we’ll find a way to make it a reality.

Why Choose Bespoke?

Handcrafted

Every project is individually handcrafted from start to finish. We don’t mass produce our work, and no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Every stitch, cut, finish and detail receives the attention it deserves.

Made Specifically for You

Your project is built around your vision—not ours. From the leather you choose to the colour, hardware, artwork and finishing touches, every detail is tailored to your individual requirements.

Built to Last

We believe quality craftsmanship should stand the test of time. By combining traditional leatherworking techniques with carefully selected materials, we create pieces designed to be enjoyed for many years to come.

How It Works

Creating Your Custom Piece Is Simple
Step 1 – Share Your Idea

Complete the enquiry form below, send us an email, or WhatsApp us at your convenience.

Send us:

  • A photograph or reference image.
  • A sketch (if you have one).
  • A written description of your idea.
  • Any measurements, colours, leather preferences, names, initials or special requests.
  • This is where the creative process begins. The more information you provide, the better we can bring your vision to life.

Step 2 – Design & Quotation

Once we’ve discussed your project, we’ll prepare a detailed quotation.

Every quotation considers:

  • Leather type
  • Size and dimensions
  • Colour selection
  • Design complexity
  • Tooling or carving requirements
  • Hardware and fittings
  • Construction methods
  • Estimated build time

If your project is something we’ve never created before, you may qualify for our Prototype Discount.

We genuinely enjoy creating things we’ve never made before and believe those customers deserve something back for helping us expand our craft.

Step 3 – Handcrafting Your Piece

Once you’re happy with the quotation, we’ll begin bringing your idea to life.

Throughout the build we use traditional leatherworking techniques, premium materials and careful craftsmanship to ensure your project is built to the highest standard possible.

Once completed, you may collect your order personally or we’ll securely package it and send it directly to your door using one of our trusted domestic or international courier partners.

Before We Get Started

With more than five years of experience producing custom leatherwork and personalised creations, we’d like to share a few things that help our customers understand the options available before we begin.

We Work With a Wide Variety of Leathers

Every project is different, so we offer a broad selection of leathers to suit your design, budget and intended use.

These include:

Premium hand-selected vegetable tanned leather

High-quality chrome tanned leather

Suedes and nubucks

Hair-on hides and fur hides

Selected exotic leathers (subject to availability and legal regulations)

Each leather has its own unique characteristics, appearance, texture and purpose. If you’re unsure which is best suited to your project, we’ll gladly guide you through the options.

What Is Leather Tooling?

Leather tooling is one of the oldest forms of leather craftsmanship.

Using specialised hand tools, the surface of the leather is carved, stamped and sculpted to create artwork with genuine depth and texture. Rather than simply placing an image on top of the leather, the leather itself becomes the artwork.

Every impression is made by hand, making each piece unique.

Because this process relies on the natural structure of the leather fibres, true leather tooling can only be performed on vegetable tanned leather. Chrome tanned leather does not possess the same properties required for traditional tooling.

Three-Dimensional Artwork on Chrome Tanned Leather

Chrome tanned leather cannot be traditionally tooled, but that doesn’t mean beautiful three-dimensional artwork isn’t possible.

Using traditional leather forming techniques, we carefully create shaped foundations beneath the leather before moulding it over them by hand. This allows raised images, contours and sculpted designs to be created while maintaining the flexibility and durability of the leather.

It’s a technique rooted in traditional craftsmanship that produces stunning dimensional effects.

Our Position on Laser Engraving

While laser engraving certainly has its place, it isn’t our preferred method.

Laser engraving works by burning away the upper fibres of the leather to produce an image. Although this creates a clean appearance initially, removing those surface fibres can leave the leather more susceptible to wear, fading and cracking over time.

For customers seeking the most authentic, durable and timeless finish, we generally recommend traditional hand tooling, carving, embossing or leather-forming techniques instead.

However, if laser engraving is your preferred choice, we’re more than happy to incorporate it into your project.

A Final Word

At RorkeStar Leather Customs, we don’t simply make leather goods—we create heirloom pieces with character, purpose and individuality.

Whether you’re commissioning a custom wallet, knife sheath, holster, journal cover, belt, bag, equestrian equipment or something completely original, we’ll work alongside you from concept to completion to ensure your vision becomes a handcrafted reality.

We look forward to creating something truly unique with you.
